Course objectives
At the end of the course students will understand principles of the devices used in medicine; recognise possible risks connected with the use of some medical devices (with mechamical, electromagnetic, light and inonising character); be able of a scientific, effective, safe and efficient attitude to their use; understand possible usage of the biophysical techniques and medical devices in practice; explain basic principles of the so-called physiological biophysics (blood circulation, respiration, origin of membrane potentials) and biophysics of sensory organs; orientate in field of information theory and helth care informatics.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course the students will: understand basic principles of the devices used in medicine, including possible risks (mechamical, electromagnetic, light and connected with inonising radiation); be able of safe and efficient attitude to their use; understand principles of the so-called physiological biophysics (blood circulation, respiration, origin of membrane potentials) and biophysics of sensory organs; orientate in the health care informatics.
