Course objectives
The aims of the course are:
to recognize single pharmacotherapeutic drug classes, namely drugs used in urgent states
to understand the basic problems of dosage forms and of drug administration
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student knows:
single pharmacoterapeutical drug clases
single drug dosage forms
the differences in particular routes of administration of drugs
the modes of action, adverse reactions and basic indications of single drugs
the pharmacotherapy in particular urgent situations
Syllabus
  • Drug administration routes. Drug dosage forms.
  • Pharmacology of peripheral nervous system I. Terminology, PNS neurotransmission, adrenergic and cholinergic receptors, agonists a antagonists.
  • Parasympathotropic drugs.
  • Sympathotropic drugs.
  • Histamin and antihistamines. Antiasthmatics.
  • Therapy of polytrauma, shock and intoxications.
  • Local anesthetics, muscle relaxants.
  • Opioid analgesics.
  • NSAIDs.
  • Case reports.
