Course objectives
The subject is of a practical nature. Its aim is the gradual adaptation of students to the hospital environment. It is familiar with specialized care, characteristic of pre-hospital and hospital emergency care, intensive care and anesthesia.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients with the use of diagnostic algorithms, to design, to practically implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan in the multidisciplinary team, to apply theoretical knowledge to practice. and stereotypes needed for comprehensive nursing care in intensive care.
They will be able to independently nursing care of the patient, work with the technical equipment of the workplace, monitor the needs of the patient, work with documentation, compile and implement the nursing plan, respect the nursing specialties care according to the type of workplace, record and pass on information to other members of the medical team, in which they gradually become active members.
Syllabus
  • Practical instruction is focused on instructive knowledge, skills, habits and stereotypes / algorithms of nursing in intensive care units, gradual acquisition of stereotypes and their consolidation, independent work with patient documentation, monitoring of needs, compilation and implementation of nursing plan in   natural conditions, continuous evaluation of performed nursing activities, changes in interventions, leading to the adjustment of the patient's health condition, respecting the particularities of nursing care for individual ages, passing information to the members of the medical team.

Teaching methods
Performance of professional practice in accredited workplaces, supervised by trainers, according to the school schedule.
Assessment methods
Completion: credit;
Passing the prescribed hours of practice in the 100% range. The practice will be confirmed by the workplace in the journal of professional practice. In the course of the course the student will prepare one record of the trip to the ZZS, which has passed within individual practice. The work will be delivered to the teacher by the end of May of the given summer semester, in written form and composition according to the assignment.
