Course objectives
Students will gain knowledge about   specific nursing care for clients with       neurological disease in intensive care and is able to apply in practice
Learning outcomes
Student will: - Apply ethical aspects of intensive care apply the hygiene - epidemiological regime - use the possibilities of diagnostics and monitoring of the neurological system in intensive medicine - Apply the concept of stimulating perception in procedures - to be oriented in rehabilitation nursing in intensive care - to highlight the principles and perform highly specialized nursing care for patients with severe neurological health impairment - Perform comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for a patient with a disorder of consciousness - monitor the functionality of special instrumentation - to use the basic complementary used in intensive medicine and to assess them - Perform basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in intensive care medicine
Syllabus
  • Determination of brain death and donation of organs for transplantation purposes (diagnostic criteria for brain death, legislation, care of a potential donor, transplantation process) Osh. Care with client SIRS, sepsis and multiple organ failure Osh. PESE the client with septic encephalopathy, delirium. Osh. Care client with neuromuscular complications in critical condition Osh. Care with client locomotor system disorders, sensory vegativní disorder. Osh. Care client with impaired consciousness. Osh. Care with CMP client Osh. Care client at degenerative, metabolic and demyelinating nervous system impairments in intensive care. Osh. care client care before, during and after examination Osh. Care client with epilepsy and status epilepticus
