Course objectives
Practical exercises aimed at deepening the knowledge acquired in bachelor's studies, consolidating and expanding practical skills in determining refraction and other metric measurements of the eye, fitting of various types of contact lenses, manipulation with ophthalmological devices, selection of the appropriate correction aid and other special optical aids regarding to the visual functions of the eye.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to perform independent optometric tasks regarding to the quality of the individual's visual functions, to communicate effectively with clients, to educate in connection with the identified visual problems, to provide advice and offers when choosing special optical aids, to analyze and compare the results of instrument measurements, to propose and recommend effective procedures for given eye disorders.

Teacher's information
Practical exercises take place at workplaces chosen by the student with a focus on research or a project. These are optometric workplaces, eye ambulances and clinics, special education centers, Tyfloservis, etc.
