The prerequisite for this seminar is knowledge of the basic principles of the EBHC approach and practical skills in Evidence Base Practice acquired in the previous courses MZEB0131p and MZEB0131s.

Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to build on the knowledge and skills acquired in the course Evidence Based Healthcare and Principles of Systematic Review II - lecture, seminar. Specifically, students will learn about standardized tools for critical appraisal of studies and data extraction.
Learning outcomes
Students can critically appraise primary studies using a selected standardized tool and extract data for subsequent meta-analysis or meta-synthesis of a systematic review.
