Course objectives
- To introduce psychology as a value and attitude background behind the leadership of individuals, teams, and organizations
- To integrate medical psychology knowledge about health and illness into the broader context of leadership and management of healthcare facilities and organizations
- To acquaint students with principle-centered leadership in healthcare facilities and organizations
- To acquaint students with fundamental attributes of mental health and healthy organization and to help them integrate these areas into the embodied practice
- To teach students to work with the basics of field theory, holistic approach, and model "Connections and Health" / Autoregulation and Allostasis
- To acquaint students with basic communication algorithms that can be applied in various contexts and situations of medical practice
Learning outcomes
- The student understands how to use basic psychology principles in leadership and management
- The student understands and can use principle-centered leadership
- The student understands the concept of vision and mission, and he/she can develop it at the organization and personal level
- The student understands concept of corporate culture, and he/she knows approaches how to develop it
- The student knows how give and receive productive feedback
- The student understands the conflict structure and dynamics, and he/she can find conflict resolution in the „win-win“ mode
- The student knows the heath organization attributes and he/she can incorporate them to his/her organization
- The student understands the field theory, facilitation management concepts and he/she can integrate it with organization, ecological and social goals
- The student understands the crew resource management concept
- Students understand the health promotion in the workplace problems, and he/she knows the effective strategies how to incorporate it in their organization

Teaching methods
Theoretical preparation, self-experience exercises, training of communication skills.
Assessment methods
One written test. The test consists of 40 questions, 60% of correct answers is needed to pass.
