Syllabus
  • The course of biochemistry covers the following topics: enzymology, metabolism of saccharides, lipids, steroids, aminoacids, purine and pyrimide bases, aerobic phosphorylation, proteosynthesis, biochemistry of connective tissues, control of metabolism, molecular aspects of physiological functions (muscles, neurotransmitters, digestion in GIT, homeostasis of body fluids, excretion function of the liver and the kidney, general mechanism of hormone action, immunity), biotransformation of xenobiotics. Selected analytical and immunochemical methods used in clinical chemistry are presented.
