Learning outcomes of the course Diagnostics and management in Orthopaedics:
At the end of the course the student should be able to describe all basic types of diagnoses in orthopaedics, should be able to explain the use of diagnostics methods including of modern diagnostics tools leading to establishing of the diagnosis, should be able to apply knowledges in discussion of differential diagnosis and would be able to propose adequate management.

The course is given in PC and video presentations in the study room. The course is prepared for students interested in orthopaedics. It is focused on differential diagnosis in main topics in orthopaedics. Modern trends in the management are discussed.

Frequent orthopaedic diseases in childhood (types, diagnostic tools, management).
Deformities of the spine (anatomy, types, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, management).
Fractures of the spine (types, diagnosis, management).

PC prezentace, vyšetřování nemocných u lůžka, interpretace laboratorních vyšetření a zobrazovacích metod, video.
Metody hodnocení
Je vyžadována plná účast ve vyučovacích hodinách. Na konci předmětu neprokazuje student získané znalosti. Student získá za absolvování předmětu jeden kreditní bod.
