Course objectives
At the end of this E-learning course, student should be able to: - effectively search the fultexts of scientific papers and books on the specific topis in the library catalogues and online resources (internet, databases tec.) - evaluate the scientific quality of found information - acquire information to his/her research and academic writing - apply the basic rules of publication ethics - correct quotation and making the bibliographic references according to recommended citation styles

  • 1. Choosing a topic and checking current student's knowledge 2. Evaluating a website‘s quality, types of libraries and their services, searching in a catalogue 3. Efficient searching in online databases 4. Medical and multidisciplinary online databases. 5. Basic rules of scientific writing. Publication and citation ethics. 6. Creating citations and bibliographic references 7. Reference managers Zotero and EndNote Basic 8. Journal citation reports. Impact factor. H-index.
