Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
Seminars are complementary to Medical chemistry lecture. The knowledge of general, inorganic, and (bio)organic chemistry, required in the end of semester, is thoroughly practiced during Medical chemistry seminars and dental materials.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to understand basics of general, inorganic and organic chemistry to the extent necessary for the further study of biochemistry.
They will be able to apply general physicochemical laws to processes in living organisms.
They will be able to describe the chemical properties of the most important biogenic elements and essential compounds of importance in medicine, nutrition and toxicology. They will be able to describe and discuss the properties and reactions of organic and bioorganic compounds important for the understanding of biochemical processes. They will be able describe chemical properties of dental materials
