Course objectives
The aim of subject is the understading and application of diagnostic examination methods in ophthalmology and the understading of treatment procedures essential for the doctor of dental medicine.
Learning outcomes
The student will be acquainted with basic eye diseases after completing the subject and will be acquainted with the traumatology of the eye.
Syllabus
  • 1st day Introduction to ophthalmology internships and relationship with other medical disciplines, overview of anatomy and physiology of the eye, practical exercises - basic examination methods 2nd day Eye diseases and ocular adnexa, diagnosis and therapy of orbital diseases, practical exercises - exophthalmometry, ultrasonography, Differential Diagnosis of Red Eye, Patient Demonstration 3rd day Glaucoma-diagnostics, therapy, retinal diseases, eye traumatology, practical exercises-measurement of intraocular pressure, gonioscopy, perimetry, ophthalmoscopy, patient demonstration, test, credit.

Class discussion on the base of materials in the textbook. Giving the course-unit credit is conditioned by full atendance in the lessons and passing the test.
