Course objectives
This eligible subject introduces sophisticated dosage forms with modified drug release based on the present knowledge in biopharmacy and pharmacokinetics. It deals with special technological approaches of their manufacturing and special control methods ensuring their quality.
Learning outcomes
By completing this course, the student will gain deeper knowledge in the field of controlled release dosage forms for systemic and local drug delivery from the perspective of pharmaceutical technology. It focuses mainly on the study of excipients, production and evaluation of these dosage forms. It is suitable for both students who want to work in the pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.

    17:00 - Pellets and their production technologies and their use in pharmacotherapy

    Lab week - in-person- 16.03.2021

    15: 30 - Matrix tablets (half of students), The preparation of microparticles by ionic gelation (half of students)
