Course objectives
Aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge about pharmacy and its historical development, especially by presenting some specific interdisciplinary contexts, and contribute to a better understanding of the social and cultural status of pharmacy.
Syllabus
  • - Historical sources of pharmacy, their study and presentation.
    - Basics of pharmaceutical museology.
    - Chapters from the history of medicines.
    - Excursion to a museum.
    - Relationship between pharmacy and arts.
    - Historical context of CAM.
    - Chapters from the history of health-care in Brno.
