Course objectives
Clinical biochemistry presents to students fundamental methods, which are using in laboratory of clinical biochemistry. Students get acquainted with expected values and clinical interpretation of fundamental laboratory medical examination. Practice lessons are focused on verification of fundamental laboratory methods.
Learning outcomes
Student gets acquainted with fundamental issues of laboratory medical examinations, which are using in laboratories of clinical biochemistry.
Syllabus
  • 1) Definition of clinical biochemistry, preanalytical, analytical and postanalytical phase of laboratory examination, precision, trueness and uncertainty of measurement 2) Fundamental parameters of ABH 3) Atherosclerosis and laboratory diagnostics of myocardium damage 4) Fundamental laboratory diagnostics of liver and kidney diseases. 5) Fundamental laboratory diagnostics of Diabetes mellitus 6) Laboratory markers of inflammation Practice: verification of laboratory analytical process
