Course objectives
Familiarization of with less well-known but pharmaceutically important families of plants (autotrophic organisms), especially tropics and subtropes.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of lesser-known taxa of pharmacetically important plants.
Syllabus
  • Lectures:
    1+2. Introduction to the plant taxonomy, classification systems - APG I, II and III
    3+4. Mosses, spore producing vascular plants, gymnosperms
    5+6. Basal plant families, monocots, commelinids
    7+8. Basal eudicots
    9+10.Rosids - Fabids
    11+12.Rosids - Malvids
    13+14.Asterids
    Practical classes:
    1. Determination of pharmaceutically important plants I
    2. Determination of pharmaceutically important plants II
