Course objectives
The features and employ of archaelogical non-destructive methods. The maximum gain of informations and useful combinations of archaelogical methods in different field work conditions.

Syllabus
  • Archaeological tereain research:
  • destructive and non-destructive methods of archaelogical prospection, survey and excavations non-destructive methods - prospection and survey the survey and prospection
  • a. old-maps, outcome of the aerial archaeology
  • b. the survey of relief formations and their terminology; loclity survey (measermant) and documentation of detected objects
  • c. geobotanical indicators
  • d. metal detector survey
  • e. surface artefact survey
  • f. the identification and samplig of sub-surface layers and objects (punctures)
  • g. geophysical methods
  • practical part: locality survey and each units or objects and their documantation
