Prerequisites

Course is destined to Mgr. and PGS students only.
Pre-requisities:
Unfailing orientation at archaeological terminology
Interest on modern research methods
Basic language practice at English and German

Course objectives
The main objective of this lecture cycle is:
access methodological lectures of main specialists by the other way unavaillables to studens
Lectures will be translated to Czech, nevertheless papers at world language will be provided before lecture to students, with a view to students obtain orientation at foreign terminology too, besides the knowlidge of subject.
All registered students of course have elaborate study methodological project with intended archaeological institution where would it be realized. The best project will be selected at the end of the semester and his author will obtain grant to realize it.
The main objective is unit theoretic education with practice and acquirement of method.

  • Dr. Linda Hurcombe (Exeter University) - Identification of lost organic archaeological culture, JS2011 (will be specified)
  • Lectures are ordered at six semestral cycles, at each of them will be realized six blocks of lectures
  • I. Methods of field prospection and prediction of localities - PS 2009
  • II. Special methods of field research - JS 2010
  • III. Datation methods - PS 2010
  • IV. Special methods of material culture analysis - JS 2011
  • V. Modern methods of data analysis - PS 2011
  • VI. Methods of territorial and landscape archaeology, spacial models and simulations

All students of course block can elaborate study methodological project.
The best project will be selected at the end of the semester and author will obtain grant to realize it.
100% attendance and sufficient activity at scientific discussion is asked for credit obtaining
