Course objectives
Doctoral student, by agreement with the thesis advisor, presents partial outcomes of his/her dissertation in an international conference. Presentation must be held in a foreign language.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, student will be able to:
- choose a partial topic of his/her work for presentation;
- identify the key information to be communicated to the international audience;
- prepare a presentation in foreign language;
- present his/her data and opinions in a foreign language;
- defend his/her attitudes in a discussion in foreign language.
Syllabus
  • Each doctoral student holds an oral presentation in foreign language on his/her dissertation project or on some other adequate specialised topic in a public professional forum like a conference, symposium, workshop or seminar.
Literature
  • Literatura podle zaměření referátu.
Teaching methods
Preparation of a presentation, consultations with thesis advisor, presentation in a scholarly forum
Assessment methods
Doctoral student must be the only or the main author of the paper. The course-unit credit is awarded by the thesis advisor.
