Prerequisites
Compulsory subject. The prerequisite for a successful completion of the course is an agreement on the approach to the topic and cooperation with the teacher. The subject can only be enrolled with the consent of the teacher. The student actively approaches the teacher with whose support he/she wants to write an article. The teacher may be a co-author of the article if directly involved in its creation. The student must be the main and principal author of the article.

Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to train the students in writing of scholarly papers. Under the guidance of the teacher, the student will carry out a basic assessment of the topic of the article, or complete the research, propose an outline and prepare a draft of the text.
Another goal is to provide additional, most recent, information on the studied topics, including the outcomes of excavations, literary production, organization of professional conferences etc. in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- lay out the syllabus and write a draft (concept) of the article on the basis of the selected topic.
