Course objectives
The aim of the course is to expand the knowledge about the transformation of structures of modern society based on archaeological research, to present everyday life, economy, production, military and architecture of modern times. There will be presented using the historical sources (written, iconographic, maps) by making the complex archaeological outputs and analyses.
Learning outcomes
Orientation in issues, methods and approaches of early modern archaeology. Building awareness of important research and scientific questions of early modern archaeology.

Teaching methods
Lectures and practical demonstrations, if possible. Syntheses of topics (landscape and man, villages, cities, military, fortified settlements, etc.) using examples of archaeological research.
Assessment methods
A basic overview test in the form of a separately elaborated essay of at least 3 standard pages of text with references, graphic over this range are welcome, but not required.
