- Syllabus
- This is an intensive course is designed to introduce students to the work of Cormac McCarthy. The novels required for the course are The Road and Blood Meridian. We will discuss The Road during the first day of class. It is strongly suggested that students read the novel before that first meeting. The four subsequent class meetings will be devoted to Blood Meridian. Students will be encouraged to prepare carefully, and to participate in discussion. An essay of modest length (min 2000 words B.A. level; 2600 words M.A. level) will be due on the final day of class.
