Course objectives
The aim of this course is to offer to its participants basic information about English language teaching methodology, the main procedures including experiential learning and awareness-raising activities. This should enable the participants to make educated choices about their further studies on Master's level, whether to follow the teaching or non-teaching degree programme.
Syllabus
  • The course syllabus should assist the learners in gaining the basic understanding of teaching language systems (lexis, grammar, pronunciation / spelling, functions) and language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing). Teaching materials as well as teacher and learner roles are also in the focus.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Kurz probíhá formou každotýdenních praktických seminářů. Nedílnou součástí kurzu jsou pravidelné náslechy u zkušených učitelů (v průměru jedna 45-minutová lekce týdně). Hodnocení kurzu je průběžné: účastníci si vedou deník o seminářích a o násleších s rozbory navštívených vyučovacích hodin, který pravidelně předkládají učiteli ke kontrole. V kurzu se očekává stoprocentní účast, neúčast v semináři může být omluvena pouze ze závažných důvodů, neúčast na náslechu je nutno nahradit.
