Course objectives
The course is aimed at close reading of Canadian literature by Aboriginal writers, both traditional and contemporary, and understanding its aesthetic, philosophical, and cultural implications. The objective is identify the tentative distinctive features of Aboriginal culture and literary production, discuss its position within the larger context of both Canada and the world at large, and appreciate its most manifest achievements.
