Cíle předmětu
The main aim of the course is to revise and consolidate what students have already learnt, and to develop and extend their knowledge further. More challenging practice for AJ51110 Zkouška z anglického jazyka. This examination is compulsory in all MA courses. For exemptions see the PE section of the department's website.
Osnova
  • 1. Choose the test and sign up for it in the Elf (read About the course in the Elf course) 2. ONE of the following textbooks Destination: Units 21-26 or NCAE: Units 1-10 or 11-20 or NPTP: Units 1-6, 7-12 or 13-18 3. Study regularly every week and do the respective tests in the Elf. The pass/fail line is 70%. 4. Study the sets of Hot Potato Exercises: Collocations and Phrasal Verbs 5. Sit the Final test from the chosen part + the HotPot exercises (details to be specified later).The pass/fail line is 70%.

Self-study using the materials in the online course. Students enrolled in this course have to pass the required tests (pass is 70%).

Students can take this course several times, choosing different parts of the textbooks to study from and a different final test each time. If completed successfully, credits will be awarded for each final test taken in a particular term. To prepare for the PE exams, it is possible to use the materials in the course (enrolment key: PE) without enroling for this course in the IS.
