Course objectives
This course is a practical exercise in drama. During the semester a play (or plays) in English will be rehearsed to be performed in December. At the beginning of the semester, there will be a one-day rehearsal (Saturday, 3 October, the whole day). Towards the end of the semester, the premiere of the performance will be preceded by several days of intensive rehearsals - there will be a "long weekend" at University premises in Telč (19-22 November). The Premiere will take place on 14 December. The preceding weekend (12-13 December) will be a dress-rehearsal weekend; there will be performances on 16 and 17 December.

Students will cover the creation process from initial stages including work on the dramatic text (analysis, dramaturgy, preparation for rehearsals) to the final theatrical performance (including acting, technical support, design(s), promotion, and the performance itself).
