Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain the main issues of the Latvian and Estonian literary development from the XVIII ct. to the beginning of the XX century.
The students are given a list of literary works (fiction, i.e. belles-lettres, chronicles), which they have to exploit as historical sources for the period concerned (Latvia and Estonia from the XVIII to the beginning of the XX century).
