Course objectives
Transformations of Czech Historical Prose of the 19th Century This seminar is going to deal with shifts in the poetics of Czech historical prose from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Seminar work will draw on the interpretation of selected literary works, including chronicles popular at that time. Attention will also be paid to the function of popular German fiction and historiographical works important in that period.

Za úspěšné absolvování kurzu získá student zápočet. Podmínkou udělení zápočtu bude pravidelná domácí práce, která bude spočívat v četbě vybraných děl, přípravě jejich interpretace a následně vypracování odborné eseje na zvolené téma. Doprovodné studijní materiály budou k dispozici v e-learningovém portálu FF MU (Elf).
