Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand the basic teachings of dramatization; to learn the history of dramatization; to analyze the impact of dramatization on drama and theatre production; to delineate the major differences between dramatization and dramatic texts; to understand and analyze the changing faces of dramatization in the postmodern times; The course is dedicated to issues connected with a rendering of poems and prose to the dramatic-text form. Participants of the seminar will learn to analyze dramatization techniques and methods, as well as shifts in meaning, style, time and space taking place between the artwork and the target dramatization product. On the basis of perused literature, students will be able to summarize and eventually formulate common patterns of the dramatization process.

Assessment methods
Methods of work during the semester: lectures, presentation of seminary papers, class discusions. To pass the course succesfully it will be required: preparation for the classes - reading, a seminary paper, active participation in classes.
