Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: making students understand, analyse and explain major functions of the source and target text in both cultures at the asked comunicative situation; make formulate the scopos of the source and target text; make interpret a simple literary text and non-literary text for the translations process; make formulate the macro-strategy of the translation; to learn creative methods in a translation process; to explain own decisions how to translate a chosen text.

  • Phasis and components of translation process.
  • Comunicative situation. Function of translation.
  • Translator and translators competence.
  • Theory a didactic of translation. Strategies of translation.
  • Develop of cultural competence.
  • Cognitive semantics and text-in-transtlation.

Information on course enrolment limitations: Podmínkou je velmi dobrá znalost němčiny. Maximální počet 12 účastníků v kurzu. Při nadlimitním počtu přihlášených studentů vybere vyučující účastníky na základě vědomostního testu nebo pohovoru.
