The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Work in the seminar, based on managed writing with the help of stimulation techniques, unblocking techniques and associative techniques (e.g clustering, alphabet, acrostics, automatic writing to a theme) is aimed at creating correct working habits and advanced text-creating competences in the student with regard to the specifics of aesthetic communication in the Czech language milieu. Particular attention is dedicated to interferential effects when using non-neutral styles, irony, exaggeration, culturally-specific taboos and the breaking of them, polite phrases. Upon completing the course, students will have an understanding of the creative principles of text composition; understand the different communicative functions of the text and create a successfully communicative text in Czech at C1 level.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- use appropriate methods and techniques in the progressive phases of creating an essayistic test;
- use appropriate creative strategies for a light literary genre;
- recognise the dominant chatacteristics of texts in various literary genres;
- distinguish between the functions of various types of literary text and the communicative function of autobiographical writing.
