Course objectives
Lessons in the seminar “Selected Current Issues of Czech Literature Teaching Methodology at University” are organized in blocks and proceed in form of discussions on the following topics:
1. How to understand a film adaptation;
2. How to lead a student project, seminar works and final works at university;
3. Possibilities of comparatistics in research on the literature of National Revival;
4. Interpretation models;
5. Preparation of a seminar for BA and MA students;
6. Work of a student and a teacher with primary and secondary literature;
7. Preparation and principles of planning and realization of a research in literary science.
Syllabus
  • - Film adaptation, theory, history.
  • - Literary comparatistics. National Revival in literary scientific Bohemistic studies.
  • - Assignment of students’ works. Techniques of looking for, setting and developing topics.
  • - Interpretation models.
  • - Leading of students’ works. Elaboration of an expert opinion.
  • - Preparation of the lesson plan. Preparation of a lesson. Management of a lesson.
  • - Work with literature, catalogue of reading.
  • - Assessment of students’ works. Assessment and reflection of lessons
  • - Structure of office hour consultations.
