Course objectives
Students will adopt technical skills necessary for handling data in terrain research of cultural and media productions and artistic performances. The skills include taking, organizing, securing and annotating the data, collecting terrain notes and documents, and capturing and editing sound, photo and video data, and sharing the data with research team members. They will learn to choose and handle appropriate equipment for capturing audio/photo/video material, and to eliminate factors decreasing the quality of records.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge - basic orientation in theory, but mainly operational knowledge in the field of recording and editing empirical evidence. Having passed the subject, the student will be able to use photographic, sound and video technologies and software necessary for the exercise of the terrain research. The student will be able to independently apply his/her knowledge in research practice.

Teaching methods
The course is designed as a seminar. Students will fulfil particularly practical excercises and group tasks.
Assessment methods
Only 1 absence are tolerated, active participation is recommended. Submission of 2 partial tasks (data assignments), 2 presentations of these tasks.
