Cíle předmětu
The course represents the culmination of a student's methodological preparation in the individual profiling methodological seminars. It aims to the preparation of a research project proposal that (a) demonstrates acquirement of the methodological tools provided, and (b) becomes the basis for the B. A. thesis.
Výstupy z učení
After completing the course, the student will come to a subtle idea of the starting points of her/his B. A. thesis as well as possible further ways of his research.
Osnova
  • Implementation of first B. A. Seminars is foreseen at the very end of the fourth semester of the curriculum. It takes the form of preparation, presentation and subsequent revision of the B. A. research project proposal. Students had already passed all the profiling methodology seminars. Their familiarity with the range of perspectives and tools they can use to prepare his B. A. thesis project is, therefore, envisaged.
  • B. A. Seminar I has two phases:
  • The first phase consists of preparing the first draft of the project. This draft (a) students will submit in the form of a concept into the homework vaults in the IS. Subsequently, (b) students will publicly present their project drafts at a joint seminar meeting attended by all active students of the program and all potential supervisors. Each project will be discussed, will receive some incentives on its readjustment and will get its supervisor.
  • In the second phase, each student works with their assigned supervisor during the exam period to further develop the B. A. thesis project proposal. The course is finalised by the form of its definitive version, which is then classified by the supervisor.
