Course objectives
The aim of the course is:
- understanding the design process
- understanding how to apply design thinking to a variety of situations in professional life and to more complex problems
- understanding the context of the design process and its basic stages
- learning design terminology
- training the ability to give and receive feedback
Learning outcomes
Student after completing the course: - knows the difference between intuitive and guided ways of designing solutions to a given topic,
- has experience with the following phases of the design process: research, ideation, prototyping,
- takes a critical view of what can be achieved through a design approach.
Syllabus
  • - remote workshop at the beginning of the semester, in which students find a solution to a predefined problem
  • - giving team feedback on collaboration
  • - reflection on the process with the teacher
  • - remote workshop at the end of the semester in which male and female students search for a solution to a predetermined problem
  • - giving team feedback on collaboration
  • - reflection on the process together with the teacher
