Course objectives
The main goal is to learn tactics for overcoming organizational silos and barriers between the organization and the user.
Be able to apply tools to create a common language between the organization and the customer/organizational silos with each other Tools for common language - boundary objects (canvasses, HMW, methodological workshops...)
Recognize how people in the organization think
The concept of bounded rationality (basics of behavioural economics):
Basic heuristics and biases in decision making, cognitive biases on the part of stakeholders and how to work with them
"Dramatic instincts" and natural fears - acronyms by FactTalk (Hans Rosling)
The politics of nudging, the architecture of choice
Learn communication skills and strategies related to the central mission
Nonviolent communication (Rosenberg)
Psychology of negotiation - ethical and unethical strategies
Persuasion principles (Cialdini and others)
Recognizing and working with manipulation
Communication strategies to foster an atmosphere of cooperation and reciprocity;
Increasing counterparty motivation (e.g. active listening techniques, motivational and coaching conversations) - and those to avoid (e.g. automatic polarization of views)
