Course objectives
The course provides a basic set of knowledge and skills for service design researchers (UX researchers) in data analysis. Under the guidance of lecturers from Masaryk University and from practice (e.g. Kristína Pšorn Zákopčanová, Fakta o klimatu), students will learn the basic techniques of data retrieval, analysis, visualisation and presentation.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- identify relevant data sources,
- apply effective methods for data acquisition,
- perform basic and advanced operations on datasets in a spreadsheet processor,
- define appropriate questions and hypotheses on the obtained data,
- visualise data in an accessible form using relevant tools,
- argue through data using appropriate presentation,
- think critically about data and its visualisations,
