Course objectives
Students will learn to understand dramatic texts of different times and styles as specific statement about human condition in the world. Students will understand concept of horizontal and also vertical time, which is time of transcendence.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able: identify and describe specifics of chronotop in drama of different styles; analyse differences between dealing with time in tragedy and comedy; analyse different attitudes of dramatic hero to world; analyse dramatic character as a symbolic image of an era/epoch; write an essay defining dramatic hero of contemporary times.

Teoretická příprava - přednáška (2 hodiny týdně). Individuální příprava - četba zadaných textů, diskuse.

Esej definující současný typ dramatického hrdiny. Ústní zkouška.
