Course objectives
- To develop skills associated with academic writing and other forms of mediation of research results
- Independent research and the writing of the dissertation
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- define terms: academic writing, scholarly text;
- evaluate types of academic text;
- choose an appropriate type of academic text regard to its potential recipients;
- understand current trends in the presentation of research results, including the popularization of science;
- apply the above in writing the dissertation and in other forms of presentation of the research project.

Teaching methods
Research, reading, consultations with the supervisor, participation in lectures, independent work on a research project, presentation of the results of work in front of classmates, discussion.
Assessment methods
- Attendance will constitute 50% of the overall assessment
- Submission of the dissertation structure with notes, showing the argumentation, style, etc. the student has chosen for writing the dissertation
- Presentation of the thesis of the dissertation work
