Course objectives (in Czech): Pozor: Jedná se o prvou část dvousemestrální přednášky, která má posluchače seznámit s hlavními formami, typy a formáty výtvarného umění a vizuální kultury Dálného východu (Čína, Japonsko, Tibet a Korea) od nejstarších dob do současnosti, s důrazem na jejich sociální a náboženské významy a funkce. Kurz kombinuje formu historického přehledu s tematicky zaměřenými sondami, které umožní hlubší pohled na některé stěžejní výtvarné projevy, díla a osobnosti dálněvýchodního umění. Literatura ke studiu a zkoušce bude poskytnuta úvodem semestru.
