Course objectives
In the classroom, students learn the structure and functioning of Central European archives. They get an overview of the basics of work with archival materials (XV -XX century), especially on the issue of their reading and interpretation in relation to the history of art. Attention will also be given to critical analysis and interpretation of particular sources.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - orientate in the structure of archives and their collections - gain basic ability to read and interpret historical texts - learn the basics of working with archive materials

Lectures supplemented by group work, discussions, reading and homework.

In addition to cooperation on assigned tasks, the ability to read a sample of historical text will be tested.
