Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The lecture will focus on the architecture of interwar Czechoslovakia with a short interruption after World War II in all its functional and stylistic richness. The emphasis will also be placed on personalities and the commissioners or the broader background of individual buildings will not be overlooked. Geographically, the subject will concentrate more on areas outside the main centres, which were Prague and Brno, although of course they will also be given attention.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to identify, analyze and interpret interwar architecture in Czechoslovakia.
