Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be familiar with Selected problems on the early modern wall painting.
Syllabus
  • Early modern wall painting and her relationship to the period graphic production.
  • Interpretation of wall paintings in context of other interior artistic decorations (especially library halls).
  • Quadrature, Wall painting and architecture.
  • Contemporary ways how to study early modern wall paintings (corpus of wall paintings; renovation and conservation of wall paintings, technique and technology of wall painting).
