Course objectives
Survey of panel and mural painting and illuminations between the years 1400-1471 in BOhemia and MOravia, its situation in the international context.

  • 1. Beautiful Style and its phases 2. Hussite iconoclasm 3. illumination before 1450 4. wall painting before 1450 5. period of Sigismunds reign and restoration 6. period of interregnum 7. the episode of Ladislas Posthumus 8. George of Poděbrady and theproblem of his court art 9. the fifties and the sixties 10. art in Silesia and Lusatia 11. - 12. art in the neighboring countries of the Central Europe
