Course objectives
The aim of the course, which is the first in the series of three courses focused on Contemporary Scandinavian drama (the courses Contemporary Swedish Drama and Contemporary Danish Drama will follow), is to acquaint students with modern trends in Norwegian playwriting and to view them in the context of contemporary European drama. We will deal with playwrights such as Jon Fosse, Cecilie Loveid, Morten Jostad, Terje Nordby, A.I.S. Lygre, and others. Students' presentations will be a part of the course.
