Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain principles of contemporary Czech radio drama; work with information on the of contemporary radio drama; make deductions based on acquired knowledge and analyse contemporary radio plays.
Syllabus
  • 1. Director Jan Antonín Pitínský and his radio stagings(Jan Antonín Pitínský: Matka, Marek Horoščák: Trakl).
  • 2. Plays and documentaries of new generation - debuting authors (Petr Maška: Traťoliště, Tereza Semotamová: Zadejte cíl).
  • 3. „Experiment“ - monodrama a improvisation (Roman Sikora: Smrt talentovaného vepře, Rádio Ivo: Život nedoceníš aneb Měl byste dvacet minut?).
  • 4. Private dramas (Lenka Lagronová: Jane, Vladimír Fekar: Sestra).
  • 5. Music and sound (Pavel Drábek, Ondřej Kyas: Everyman čili Kdokoli, Martin Kolář: Jako v pytli).
  • 6. Fairy tales - classics and new conceptions (Vojtěch Vacke: Princezny a loupežníci, Vendula Borůvková: Medvěd Čokoláda).
