Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present medieval theatre in its profane (but not only comic) part. It will describe the genres of medieval drama (farce, morality play, sottie...) and it will show the differences among European countries (France, Spain, England, Netherland, Germany, Italy). In detail, it will follow the life of allegorical morality play.
