Course objectives
In the course we will acquire knowledge of the German-speaking theatre (BRD, DDR, Switzerland, Austria) from the end of the World war II till the present day. We will follow the trends and progressions in the post-war Germany from the gradual separation to absolut different starting points of the both german countries behind the Iron Curtain. We will go after the individualities of the stages from the both german countries, including the personalities of the theatre from Switzerland and Austria. In our course we should reach the present tendencies and dispositions of the drama and stages of the unified Germany. An substantive part of the course will be to specify the art and modes of reception of the German-speaking drama on the czech stage. Assessment: essay (to be specified)
