Course objectives (in Czech)
Richard Wagner patří k osobnostem 19. století. Německý skladatel, básník, diriget a teoretik, jehož dílo mnohdy bývá neprávem odsuzováno. Kontroverzní osobnost, která svou koncepcí Gesamtkunstwerku ovlivnila řadu dalších skladatelů světových i českých, např. Bedřicha Smetany. Kurz se bude zabývat nejen touto mimořádnou osobností a podrobně jejím dílem, ale upozorní i na vývojové tendence v opeře, které Wagnerově tvorbě předcházely.
