Course objectives
Baroque opera as a crossover of art. In the cycle of lectures will be enlarged selected chapters from the field of baroque opera in Italy.
Syllabus
  • 1. sociological and cultural role of opera in the 18th century
  • 2. text and music: libretto and score, dramaturgy of baroque opera
  • 3. acting and dance
  • 4. visual art: costume and scenography
  • 5. main tendencies of progress (Italy, France, Vienna, Czech Lands).
